AI Agent Hosting

AI Agent Hosting on
A VPS Server

An AI agent running on your laptop stops the moment you close the lid. An AI agent host running on a VPS never stops — it executes tasks, monitors systems, and responds to events 24 hours a day.

What's an AI Agent,
and Why Does It Need
a Permanent Server?

A regular AI chatbot responds when you talk to it. An AI agent is different — it acts on its own. You give it a goal, and it works through a series of steps: browsing the web, running code, calling APIs, reading files, sending messages, and making decisions along the way.

This creates a practical problem: agents need to run continuously. They monitor inboxes, watch for triggers, execute scheduled tasks — all of which require the software to be running at all times.

Your laptop isn't built for this. When you close it, the agent stops. A VPS solves this completely — it's a cloud server that runs 24/7, with no sleep mode, no automatic updates interrupting your process, and no dependency on any physical machine you own.

Running on your laptop
Agent stops when you close the lid. Interrupted by sleep mode, updates, and reboots. Not accessible when you travel. Shares resources with everything else on your machine.
Serverless / cloud functions
Built for short, stateless tasks. AI agents are long-running, stateful processes — trying to run an agent here means fighting its architecture constantly.
VPS Mart — the right fit
Always-on server, isolated resources, full root access. Your agent runs indefinitely, restarts automatically after reboots, and is accessible from anywhere at any time.

What Can You Do With an
AI Agent VPS?

From personal productivity to enterprise automation — a VPS gives your agent the infrastructure to handle real workloads around the clock.

Research & Monitoring Agent

Monitor websites, news sources, competitor pricing, or job boards continuously. Delivers a summary — or takes action — whenever something relevant happens.

Automated Outreach Agent

Find leads, draft personalized messages, and send follow-ups on a defined schedule. It works through your list while you focus on conversations that need you.

DevOps & Alert Agent

When a service goes down or threshold is crossed, the agent investigates, attempts remediation, and notifies you with a full diagnostic — not just "something broke."

Document Processing Agent

Read incoming documents, extract structured data, route items to the right place, and log everything. Replaces hours of manual data entry.

Scheduled Reporting Agent

Pull data from analytics, CRM, and databases every week, then assemble a formatted report delivered to Slack or email — on your chosen schedule.

Personal Productivity Agent

Manage your calendar, triage emails, track your task list, and reach it through WhatsApp or Telegram anytime — available 24/7, not just when your computer is on.

Every Major Agent Framework,
One Server

A VPS from VPS Mart is a clean Linux environment. These are the frameworks our customers run most.

OpenClaw
Multi-platform AI agent connecting WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, and Teams. Supports Claude, GPT, Gemini, and local models via Ollama. Built for always-on VPS deployment.
AutoGPT
One of the original autonomous agent frameworks. Given a goal, it plans and executes a sequence of actions using web search, file management, and API calls.
CrewAI
Orchestrate multiple AI agents working together as a team. Ideal for workflows where different agents specialize in research, writing, review, and so on.
n8n
Self-hostable workflow automation with AI agent capabilities. Visual interface, hundreds of integrations out of the box, easy Docker deployment.
LangChain / LangGraph
Python-based agent frameworks for developers who want full control over the agent loop, tool selection, memory management, and execution flow.
Custom Agents
Built your own agent in Python or Node? SSH in, set up PM2 or systemd, and your agent runs indefinitely — through reboots, weekends, and holidays.

What to Think About
Before Picking a Plan

Self host AI agents have specific infrastructure needs. Here's what actually drives resource usage.

Memory matters most
AI agents spike RAM when actively executing tasks — especially with browser automation or parallel sub-agents. Start with at least 4–6 GB for a single agent using external APIs.
Multiple agents multiply requirements
Running three agents simultaneously? Plan for the combined resource footprint plus overhead. Our Advanced plans handle multi-agent production workloads comfortably.
Persistent storage keeps memory intact
Agents relying on long-term memory — storing past interactions and accumulated context — need reliable disk I/O. NVMe SSD across all our plans handles this well.
Plan recommendation guide
Express VPS
4 GB RAM — Single agent with external API calls (Claude, GPT, Gemini). Ideal for personal use or small automations.
Basic VPS
8 GB RAM — 2–3 concurrent agents, or a single agent running a 7B local model via Ollama.
Professional VPS
18 GB RAM — Multi-agent setups, or team-wide agent deployments with persistent memory.
Advanced VPS
32 GB RAM — Production multi-agent orchestration.
Deploy and host AI agents on your dedicated GPU server — no API tokens required. Maintain full control over your data, ensure privacy, and run secure, independent inference.

Deploy Your AI Assistant in Four Steps

From order to always-on agent in hours, not days.

1
Order a plan
Select a plan based on your agent framework and expected load. All plans come with Ubuntu, Debian, or CentOS and include full root access.
2
SSH into your server
Your login credentials arrive by email within minutes of your order. Connect via SSH from any terminal. Your server is clean and ready to configure.
3
Install your agent
Use Docker, pip, or npm to install your chosen framework. Most popular agent stacks take under 2 hours to set up.
4

Common
Questions

Everything you need to know about hosting AI agents on a VPS. Can't find your answer? Our team is available 24/7.

What's the difference between an AI agent and an AI chatbot?
A chatbot responds when you talk to it — it's reactive. An AI agent acts proactively — it pursues goals, executes multi-step tasks, uses tools, and can run without any human input. Agents typically need persistent server infrastructure; chatbots often don't.
Can I run multiple agents on one server?
Yes. Using Docker or a process manager, you can run several agent instances simultaneously — each with its own configuration and tool access. The practical limit is your server's RAM and CPU. Our Professional and Advanced plans are designed for multi-agent workloads.
What if my agent needs to access the internet?
All VPS plans include unrestricted outbound internet access. Your agent can call external APIs, browse the web with browser automation tools, send HTTP requests, and connect to third-party services without any restrictions from our side.
Can I run an agent with a local AI model?
Yes. You can choose our GPU dedicated server, install Ollama on server and pull any supported open-weight model (Llama 3, Mistral, Qwen, etc.). Your agent connects to the local Ollama endpoint instead of an external API. All inference stays on your server — no data leaves, and there are no per-token costs.
How do I keep my agent running after I disconnect from SSH?
Use a process manager. PM2, systemd, or running inside a Docker container with --restart always are the standard approaches. All of these ensure your agent restarts automatically if the process crashes or the server reboots.
Is a VPS secure enough for an agent handling sensitive data?
A VPS is a private server — your data is isolated from other customers. You control the firewall, network access, user permissions, and encryption. For most use cases, a properly configured VPS is significantly more secure than a SaaS platform, because you control every layer.
Always-on infrastructure
An AI Agent Hosting That
Works While You Sleep
The difference between a useful AI agent and a great one isn't the model — it's the uptime. A VPS gives your agent a permanent, reliable home to execute, monitor, and respond around the clock without interruption.
